Epson TW6250

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there had any experience with the Epson TW6250? Looking to replace a sick TW9200. Wanted to go with TW9400 but my issue is throw ratio. The TW9200 barely fills my 110 inch fixed screen at 3.2m and the TW9400 throw ratio is bigger. Any other suggestions up to $4K would be appreciated

You need about 10cm more for the 9400 to fill a 110 inch screen, 15cm even better. Not sure how the 6250 would stack up against the 9200 but they're priced apart for a reason. Then the 6250 is up to date and does 4K pixel shifting as the 9400 does and also has HDR and is less than half the price too. Sounds like a good all round machine!

My thoughts as well. I haven't flown first class (9400) so I don't know what I'm missing. Hoping its as good or better than 9200.

I noticed the very low contrast ratio on the TW6250, so changed direction and purchased the TW7100 from Digital Cinema in Auburn (Sydney). Picked up and installed yesterday. Has it's limitations for sure but at $2K beggers can't be chosers. It looks better than the old TW9200. Only 4hrs on it so far but I'm very happy. The 4k pixel shift seems good on the lower resolution stuff. To be honest better than I expected. Would recommend it if your on a budget.

TW7100 so far. The only real limitations I have noticed is image enhancement is limited if you feed the PJ 4k20230811_203139.thumb.jpg.54f9a8d98e57e4f78a1d02e05bd1ca1a.jpg

From manual.

Also, if 4K you can't zoom from a 1:35 to 16:9
