AussieMick Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Anyone here using the Revopods from Arya Audio in the UK? I read a review from Roy Gregory, whose likes and dislikes seem to have lined up with mine for two decades. He discussed them in the context of top flight WADAX gear and was positive enough for me to hunt some out. https://www.theaudiobeat.com/blog/arya_audio_revopod.htm I got onto @Plasmod3 and I’ve been listening to them in my system for a few weeks now. They’ve been under all of my electronics now and the effect has been uniform under each. I’ve had gains in clarity, ease and dynamics that were very welcome. However, the real WOW factor has been in the areas of stage depth and instrument texture and body. There’s much greater sense of front-to-back layering in all types of music, and there’s no wandering of instruments with level. Instrument texture is much more vivid - finger and bow on string, drumstick on drum head, Esperanza Spalding’s electric bass more string and less unnecessary bloom, Sting’s voice more weathered. Across all genres it’s the same. And to go along with it is more body to everything. I think it’s what Darko calls “tonal mass”. low level listening is more alive and “present”. Loud listening is more easeful and less draining. Detail is wonderful and inner separation consistently better. I’ve recently been using Townshend Seismic Pods and Nordost Pulsar Points snd Sort Kones. The Revopods combine the open and airy ease of Townshend Pods with the precision imaging of the Nordost products. Nordost too etched and bright? Townshend to “soft”? Try the Revopods! And finally, dynamics. There’s the slam from drum kits and the huge macro dynamics of brilliantly recorded orchestras. HUGE! They’ve been under an Innuos Zen MK3, a Pass Labs INT-30A integrated amp and a Chord HMS/TT2 stack. Consistent results under each, and floating the entire system brings more and more of the same. I’ve ordered the threaded adapters so that I can try them under the Focal Kanta 2 speakers next. If it goes well I’ll be supporting my entire system, and eventually invest enough to float the power products as well. For the QSA Yellow and above fuse users, my feeling is that the change is as fundamentally influential as putting a QSA Violet in the Zen MK3. Tbe QSA gave technically superior performance, and the Revopods give musically superior performance. Captivating. Here is a full size set under the M Scaler and a Mini set between it and the TT2. The thread that comes with the Mini is the same as the stock feet of the Zen MK3, so it’s a direct replacement. They’re pricey, but cheaper than the three Sort Kones I had under the streamer, and they perform more to my tastes. A box of 4 Minis is cheaper than 4 Townshend Pods, and is better for my DAC. 3
Dalamii Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 I am also revopod user as well. It amazing how great the result after many AB test i done. It took me a few weeks to keep trying them in different gears to find the best out of it. The built and quality on revopod just stood out. I can feel the weight for this little feet are far heavier than some other brand bigger feet. The height tuning bearing is so so smooth. By the way Wellfloat extreme is a must try product if budget allow. It even better 1

In Roy Gregory's article, he mentioned that they needed readjusting after a while and speculated that it might be the absorbent materials compressing to match the weight they were holding.

Jambo2 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 (edited) I bought the RevOpods from the official Australian distributor (Lux Audio) a while ago. I liked their looks and they seemed to be very substantial. I wanted to achieve a mix of footers so that the sound does not go only in direction and get a good broad spectrum of isolation (well that was the theory). So, I got the ones reviewed favourably – namely CMS, RevOpods & Graphite Audio. I specially wanted them for my heavy mono blocks CH A1.5 amps (48kg). I can’t recall how I fitted them; I suspect I had a bit help from a friend. Thankfully they came with the right screw threads (M10? If I remember correctly). These fitted the amp perfectly. I took the Silicon ring off as per Roy Gregory’s recommendation. I made quite a few changes all at once so – can’t confidently say what they bought to the party. But I’m pleased with the way they lifted my amps of the shelves and the overall sound I have. It would be a serious pain to take them off and see what happens. But I'm very sure they’ll be much better than the standard feet CH come with. If this helps, I recommend these to a UK friend who bought them as per my suggestion, he had to order special thread for Magico speakers. A friend had come to his place and told him that his bass is flabby and boomy. Well after my friends installed them – the “bass” issues were resolved and gained a new degree of resolution, without being cynical, musicality was retained. So, I recommend you give them a try – just ensure they come with the correct tread for your gear or used them without the screws. I personally prefer to have them screwed into the gear, so that there is a consistent coupling to the gear and don’t fall down when moving gear – as it’s a total pain with 48kg of an amp ! LOL Edited May 18, 2023 by Jambo2
AussieMick Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 Yep. I ordered adapter threads for Kanta 2 and hopefully they arrive in a few days. I really enjoy what this product brings

Hmmm Not in my case , it quite straight forward can hear the difference on my Dac, Amp, Sub . Not much difference on my speaker (not sure why) But Wellfloat work on my speaker. 1
AussieMick Posted May 22, 2023 Author Posted May 22, 2023 I put them under the Kanta 2 last night and it’s an immediate impact. I’m extremely happy with the result. I did experience some inconsistency Nader the amplifier for a day and a half but then it settled down. I’m expecting the same under the speakers. 1

I guess because my speaker original have spike in middle section and bottom already have isolation feet installed. So can't see much by revopod. But the Sub is biggest result in my setup as well. 1

Images really tightened up and there is a great deal more texture especially in the bass. Images also have more density. They’re staying under the speakers. I’ve ordered another set for my Pass Labs integrated.
petng Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Did you find they had a bigger effect under speakers or the electronics?

It all sounded like my stuff, just with a great deal more life and “rightness”. However, under speakers was quite shocking to me. I wasn’t expecting such a revelation
petng Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 I found under the speakers it made my room resonances reduce greatly. I can play much louder and not have the room distortions coming into effect.
petng Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 It may actually save you $$$$. For me I have stopped looking for speaker upgrades. 1
AussieMick Posted May 30, 2023 Author Posted May 30, 2023 Yes, I think that was part of the effect for me. Greater clarity in the midbass in particular, which I assumed was at least in part room interaction.
petng Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) You find you can move your speakers closer to the boundaries to get bass reinforcement without boom and distortion. before revo I had to have my speakers away from the walls. This resulted in very detailed sound, but lacked a lot of warmth. Edited May 30, 2023 by petng 1

Ah, but I’d already tried IsoAcoustics Gaia and Townshend Platforms under my Kanta 2. The RevOpods are something else altogether.
