No longer needed…

Item: Bare speaker cable
Price Range: Open
Item Condition: As long as it works and is good
Extra Info:

I have two monoblocks sitting behind my speakers. 1 metre of speaker cable per speaker is plenty. Bare wire is fine.
I am hoping to find some offcuts from good cables in your junk draw, or perhaps you have a single 2 metre wire you no longer need. Something suitable for this setup.

Great cables cost a packet, but I am hoping to find some shorts where people may have shortened their good cables - trying to keep costs down. I am happy to pay a reasonable price and also cover post to Tasmania.

Please message me with what you have that you can let go.

Only two I have here is a QED Silver Special 25th Anniversary, and a 10mm² copper cable, 315 strands of 0.2mm copper.

Happy to keep looking and try a bunch of different things so I can learn from this exercise too, if I can afford to.

Thank you.

Thank you, Mark actually contacted me, he is going to see what he can find.

Hoping to find some others as well, get a bit of variety and see how this all works.

I have some Kordz Vortex cable that can be cut to length. It is 10 or 12 guage (huge when the bi-wires are joined together). I think and was Kordz best speaker wire back when they were doing all sorts of cables. I bought a couple of rolls of it cheap when I was an installer.

I'm selling it for $5 a meter unterminated. RRP at the time was $28 a meter from memory.

Postage on a 3m pair is $13 (1kg), so 2 x 1m may be less.

The photo with the sharpie is just to give you an idea of the size of it.

Thanks all, after trying a few cables including Ebony, I have settled on the Chord Epic XL that I now have.

I’ll mark this as No longer required or whatever I need to do, and continue chipping away at upgrades.

Cheers & thanks.
