Hi guys, long time no see.  Well after a few years of being indisposed due to ill health and such I have decided to sell off some of my stuff in order to pursue a networked option in our new home.  SWMBO has had enough of the cds  taking up space and such.  To be honest I haven't had much time to really use this gear as I have been in and out of hospital quite a lot.  I would estimate I have put less than 100 hrs on this unit.

oh well.

here goes.

Item:  Marantz SA11S1  SACD player
Location:  Brisbane , Queensland.  Prefer pick up, but will ship if buyer pays freight.  (Double boxed, of course)
Price: $1400 o.n.o.
Item Condition: Used but in excellent condition.
Reason for selling: Looking to a networked media delivery approach ect.
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal.
Extra Info:  The unit is gold in colour and is a delight to listen to. Has lived in a smoke free, child free, clean, air conditioned environment. I don't need  to tell the audiophiles here about this machine.  Its pedigree is well documented on the internet.  Original manual, remote, power cable.  I am the second owner and the machine performs effortlessly and produces beautiful results when paired with suitably high quality components/speakers.
Pictures:  *accompanying picture is a stock net image and not the actual unit i am selling here.  Its in the wall unit at the moment but this is representative of what you are buying.

The machine is off to its new caretaker, Frankn for a great price I might add too!  It looks like its going to a nice home as well!

cheers

I see people mentioning donations to the site once something is sold..can someone fill me in on the correct protocol now please.

Hi Psycho.  So good to hear from you again.  Sorry to hear about your health issues and I hope things get better from now on.

If my Shanling doesn't survive its current repair I could be in the market for another SACD player but it's a bit early yet.  GLWTS

Regards, Jeff

Dah No2,

I'm guessing "PM Sent" is an offer to Purchase, then again "PM Sent" could also mean anything, Fingers Crossed Phantom.

HI guys and thanks for the kind thoughts.  The 60+ grand I have spent on my spine and other bits of body enhancements  in the last 5 years certainly put a dent into audio affairs!!    :)   but hey I am still upright and walking.

And yes chaps at this point in time the Marantz  has a new owner in waiting, I'm just waiting for their confirmation and will mark post as 'sold' once that happens.

best regards

Been running the Elac 249's with a Primare i30 amp...all goodness indeed.  Those Germans make great medical prosthesis for your spine as well as damn fine speakers!  I know from first hand experience!  Most people don't believe what I have had done when I tell them, then they ask if I fell out of a building or was hit by a car or such.  :)

But as we say in intensive care, "Still upright and breathing....still have options!"

hehehe

OK I thought you had sold the Elacs.

What has happened to you sounds very scary.  As said I hope it is all improvement from here.
