I'm running a Consonance Ref 7 music server into a NAD T787 AVR, all controlled by an iPad through DLNA/UPnP home wifi. The Ref 7 has internet radio, but the search function is clunky and the radio can't be done on the iPad (only media on the SSD can be controlled via the iPad). Of note, the NAD & Ref 7 don't have Airplay. The iPad runs the 8player app as the interface to control the Ref7. This is the program recommended by Consonance. I've contacted them and, in broken English, they can only recommend the use of 8player. What I was hoping to be able to do is stream music from sites such as Spotify/JB Hifi Now etc. from the iPad to the Ref7, or even an internet radio site would do the trick. AFAIA I can only do this by a program that utilises DLNA/UPnP. This immediately rules out Tunein Radio & Spotify. It looks like JB Hifi is out as well, but I'm waiting on an email to confirm this. I'm happy to pay for the app if it's going to achieve what I'm after. Is anyone aware of any apps/other methods that can achieve my purpose???
