Linkin
I recently picked up a Rega planar 3 with R200 arm for cheap ($250), but the headshell collar is busted (one the connectors has popped out and the hole it fits into doesn't hold in correctly). Any ideas on where I can get one without purchasing a spare arm?

Upfront
They pop up on eBay every now and again. Might be worth keeping an eye out. But is it possible to glue it back in? Fiddly I know as it would need to be level with the others.
Linkin
I've been unable to find a replacement for this as of yet. Can't seem to find a consistent name either. Socket, collar, plug, adapter, whatsit, doohickey... etc (It's actually an SME Headshell socket/collar/plug) I do believe it's compatible with Jelco arms though, from what I have been able to find. I'm not really willing to pay $150 for a brand new one either, that's outrageous. I'd also prefer not to cannibalise an entie arm or table for one as well. Upfront
I have seen after market versions. Again, they pop up on eBay every now and again. I've found the same problem with inconsistent names. I'll keep an eye out for you. I think the seller is bop_dj. But they get listed so irregularly that it's hard to tell.

Upfront
This seller showed up with a search of lenco heaven. He might be worth a PM. http://www.ebay.de/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ssn=strictly-vintage-electrics&_pgn=2&_skc=50&rt=nc Edited November 11, 2013 by Upfront
Linkin
Or perhaps this might be a good opportinity to upgrade to a better arm ... RB250 or 300 Subjective The R200's are Japanese (Acos derived) - the newer ones are all british made... Or maybe I'll get them all and compare... evil c
Or perhaps this might be a good opportinity to upgrade to a better arm ... RB250 or 300 Think you're possibly flogging a dead horse with trying to fix the R200 - better off like Sierra said moving up quality wise. Nothing wrong with British - That's what Rega are!

Linkin
Well my old man was able to repair the collar, so that's working. I was unable to get the wires out the end of the arm, so proceeded to dis assemble it. In the process, pulling the cables ever so slightly further into the arm <_< The anti-skate belt also broke as I (carefully) lifted the knob out... I had thought ahead and set it where I wanted it prior. So, Has anyone ever rewired an R200?
