Chewbacker Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Man you crack me up I had the model from 1981 as my 1st receiver. I just loved it and used it till I moved back to Sydney in 1996 as my primary music control box. Had a Pioneer Pl 120 T/T and an Akai tape deck too. Initially had some massive rokor speakers that I had to let go in 1984 as they were overkill in a bedroom. Then built some of my own speakers after doing some research out of Car stereo splits from Pioneer as I was installing for many years in car alarms and stereos. I still remember the suprising clarity of the sound (but then you always enjoy your own cooking too !). Good Luck I have many fond memories of Realistic gear. Cheers Chewie PS Now I run Aslan/Lenehan/Electra/Integra/NAD and Oppo gear 1
Prana69 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I own one of these. Sensational receiver for the money. Surprisingly warm. Excellent phono stage. I know I'm not supposed to say it, but that's a bargain! DaveR 1
