Jarrod Harrison Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Going through a bit of a retro phase and would love to find a pair of the Sennheiser HD414 headphones. You know the ones with the yellow earPads that fell apart after a few years. These we're the first pair of decent headphones i bought after using $30 Walkman headphones. The donee I had were some sort of special edition but I don't remember what was special about them. I bought them in 1995/96 I think. Anyhow, I love to find a set again. Thanks Jarrod

Thanks Jarrod hi jarrod, I had a pair of the originals, just be careful while the yellow head pads crumbled away the actual transducers also had a tendency to fail. while sennheiser actually sell still the ear pads am not sure the transducers are still sold. there was a 414 re release. but actually it used a smaller/not quite same transducer. not quite the same as the original. they just looked a little similar thats all ! this is the original pair I had from late 80s early 90s and this was the re release some years later, which was supposed to hark back to the very original release of this series in the early 80s I believe Edited October 31, 2013 by :) al
Batty Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) I have a pair that are no longer used since I bought my AKG 701s, you are welcome to pop round for a listen. I also have spare pads. Edited October 31, 2013 by Batty
Sir Rab of Everest Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I have a pair of 424s, which was the model up from the 413s (and I think the top model at the time). My parents bought them in the '70s! All original except for the foam pads, which I replaced several yeaRs ago. - r.
