Hey Guys,

My parents have pulled out an old pair of Petersons Speakers

Just wondering if anyone could tell me about them. They are made of chipboard by the looks of it.

They still work fine. Well they did a year ago

Box looks crappy. The midrange is interesting. Maybe some possibilities with the woofers... have to have a look at the backside.

Late 70's, early 80's. Local manufacture. Vinyl on 16mm chipboard by the looks.

I think you'll find they are OEM Etone woofers & Etone solid back mid. Not sure 'bout the tweeter.

Etone were Sydney based.

More than likely the woofers are running full range, 1st order xover on mid & tweeter (1 capacitor each :( )

As ZB suggests, garage speakers. I wouldn't use them inside. Worth? $20 for the pair at a garage sale!?

oh wow! Amazing work guys. Yeah my parents were all just wondering about them as they claimed to have spent a lot of money on them back in the day.

They will most likely get turned into garage speakers or passed onto the Op-shop in that case as we have replaced them and they are just doing nothing. Will have to have another good listen to them before they go though.

Thanks so much for the Info everyone!
