A good value cable by all reports but be aware that the 3 pin plug they advertise is not AU/NZ Standards compliant as is evident by the lack of insulation on the two phase pins so therefore illegal to sell or use under the Electrical Regulations.

Just by looking at the pug.

In this example you can see the black insulation covering the bottom half of the 2 phase pins.

I bought two of their power cables at the recommendation of another member here, but I am skeptical of the results.

Not that there is anything wrong or inefficient with the product.
The process of purchasing and the delivery was seamless enough, that all worked well.
I just don’t know whether much is to be gained by power cables in my system.

How good is the power? How much EMF have I got going on? How good are the power supplies in the devices I connected them to? (My MF monoblocks). Are there other elements of my system that are having greater impacts in my noise floor etc?

Indeed, will I even be able to hear the difference? I know what I am hearing is great, but I don’t yet have an idea if what the benchmark is of really great.

Nothing is going to get dropped down behind my system and the plugs are firmly connected to their own GPO’s so I aren’t worried about the insulation on the active and neutral pins that isn’t there.

Hoping that all helps.

The plug/socket looks like some that can be bought for cheap on AliExpress.

The cables aren't shielded, there is nothing wrong with that, but many expect it in an "audiophile" cable.

I was not aware Ice Age Audio power cables were not shielded. They are chunky and stiff enough to suggest they were, go figure.

Well,  they don't say that they are shielded on their website, to be more precise.  They talk about the plugs and the wire, but shielding isn't mentioned (unless I missed something).  Techflex covering will make any cable look expensive and chunkier.  Seeing you own the cables you might be curious to dismantle the plugs (it's not difficult and you don't need to unscrew the wire connections) and you will see exactly what you got.

Hello everyone, this is Rick with Ice Age Audio.  I just found this and wanted to clarify a few things.  I will not dispute "some" of the comments, but I will address them.  The AU/NZ market does have strict regulations that don't exist elsewhere in the world .  You are correct is saying that our plugs aren't like the pictures shown, but that doesn't mean they don't work.  When it comes to the availability of exotic metals for plug sets, we are restricted to only a few manufacturers, and what we offer is the best we can find.  Next would be the shielding question?  You're correct that our most popular cables are not shielded, but that has never been an issue for us.  Our Cables have a valid reputation of having an Ultra Low Noise Floor.  So again, it hasn't been an Issue.  Our Products are a well known value, they compete with products costing 3-10 times as much all day long.  Our 150.00 Power Cord will out perform cables costing up to 1200.00, and that has been proven over and over again.

Most important would be that the AU/NZ market has been our #2 market for many years, followed by Chile at #3.  We have sold 1000's of cables globally with a 99% success rate.  Why only 99%?  Simply because you can't make 100% of the people happy.  We have  an AU client that has purchased 16 power cords and 8 sets of Interconnects.  He's obviously happy with our products.  I just sent an order to NZ last week to another ongoing client of many years.  So don't 2nd guess our products, if you have a question, simply ask, I'm always available and try to reply immediately.  Go to our site, read some of the reviews, look at our photo gallery and see what cables people have replaced with our products.  It's all legit!!!

Cheers-Rick

All good and well, but consumers also need to be aware that as they are the "importer" of any products purchased this way, they are responsible for ensuring the products 'comply' with Australian regulations.

Whereas importers/distributors (in most cases) go through this costly certification process before releasing products for sale via retailers (or direct) in the local market.
