ozfifer Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 has anyone out there got any experience/reviews on this wireless hard drive? I'm in need of something portable for upcoming hols for the young lad to wirelessly watch movies, and was looking at the seagate wireless portable. this one is only 70 bucks compared to 230, but there may be a reason for that. not much in the way of reviews that i can find online. any help would be great. cheers. tom
mrdave Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 It's a battery pack with a single board computer which will allow you to share an SD card or a USB stick/HDD. Looks like it doesn't actually have a drive in it. If you have a few SD cards that you can whack content onto, then it's probably all you need. Otherwise, you'll need to buy storage for it.
ozfifer Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 thanks Dave, yes I'll be using it to wirelessly stream movies from my current wd drives which will be connected to the eaget then hopefully play through the ipad. just need to know if it's a piece of junk or not.
