Administrator StereoNET Posted October 28, 2013 Administrator Posted October 28, 2013 Let's see if this works. I have created a playlist for StereoNET, that allows collaboration. StereoNET Australia We can all add artists and tracks to it for other to discover. Not sure if we have many Spotify users, but I find it and Pandora great ways to discover new music. 7 1 2
ferchersan Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Excellent, Marc I've recently converted to Spotify. I've just hit the "follow" button. Will have a fiddle about with it tomorrow, maybe add a tune or two myself 1
AudioAddict Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Great idea Mark. Nice one. Look forward to following and playing with it myself.
ferchersan Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Good morning all I have just added a few tracks by Fela Kuti, Debo Band and Bombay Dub Orchestra. Who's up next? 2
Monty Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Great idea Marc. ferchersan I'm enjoying the Debo Band and Bombay Dub Orchestra. Just added a track by Brazilian chanteuse Ceu. 1

ferchersan Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Great idea Marc. ferchersan I'm enjoying the Debo Band and Bombay Dub Orchestra. Just added a track by Brazilian chanteuse Ceu. Cool, Monty. I like the Ceu song. I'm just having a bit of a fiddle with Spotify myself. I clicked on followers and noticed Soundfan is on board too. I clicked on the artists he is following and am listening to Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal "Chamber Music", something that Chris recommended recently. How good is that!? 1
soundfan Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I finally worked out how to add tracks...... just added three to the playlist. 2
soundfan Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I see Marc added a heap of tunes. I just did the same. 1
Guest Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It's great. I love the collaborative approach. I've discovered heaps of music already as a result. Hope others enjoy it as much as I do. 2
Viognier Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I listened to all the tracks on the playlist at work today. Most enjoyable. Thanks guys. Looks like I need to be on a computer and not phone to add tracks, or have I missed something on the phone app?

Looks like I need to be on a computer and not phone to add tracks, or have I missed something on the phone app? I have the phone app too, but as a free subscriber, can't use Spotify on a mobile device. Am seriously considering becoming a paid subscriber. There is a lot of music that I have heard over the last couple of years that would have passed me by, if not for Spotify. 1
Monty Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 This is coming along nicely. I've been picking through some selections before bed, as well as adding a few tracks. Apologies in advance if the drum machine on The Meters' track is too metronomic and cheesy for others' tastes. I like the wah-wah and weariness. And it's grown in my mind having lost the CD several years ago. Spotify is good for finding lost grooves as well as discovering new ones.
Guest Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Great idea Marc - maybe some blues and jazz themed playlists as well?
kunalraiker Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Marc, Looking forward to a Pandora playlist from Stereo Net as that's what I use.
Guest Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I've completely abandoned Pandora. I was a big advocate and supporter, but it's just losing traction, there is less product compatibility with it etc.Spotify I can now connect with from every aspect of my listening, mobile, car, home, alfresco, computer etc. You also to my knowledge cannot create public playlists, or collaborative playlists. 1
soundfan Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Great idea Marc - maybe some blues and jazz themed playlists as well? There is quite a few jazz tracks listed already. Why not add some yourself? 1
Monty Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Great idea Marc - maybe some blues and jazz themed playlists as well? Mr Thiing, I just chucked a few old blues tracks on there. 1
wolster Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) I'm in Just added a few favourites to see how it works. Bloody brilliant idea that we can collaborate on a play list. The only bummer is that we can't delete the crap ones Edit that - you CAN delete tracks --oops. Does that alter the whole playlist or just my version? Edited November 19, 2013 by wolster
Guest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) There is quite a few jazz tracks listed already. Why not add some yourself? Have done so - not jazz but i'm sure you will like them :-) Edited November 19, 2013 by andythiing 1
Guest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 We now have 9 hours of music (95 tracks) on our playlist. A great effort. I think ultimately we should be able to delete tracks - but not based on personal preference.Perhaps we need a guideline for why and when tracks are deleted?
Guest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Oooohhh ..... Mr.Darko added Diana Krall. I wondered who would be the first 3
Guest Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I kinda like not knowing what's coming next. This one just added by "fuzzboy69": Circle Pit – Honey <- Like that one already!

I just added an album by Moon Duo called Mazes, when I only meant to add the title track. D'oh! I don't seem to be able to delete from these tracks from my iPad. I'll try the desktop version.
