The 25mm high frequency unit functions from 20 kHz down to 3 kHz, while the 160mm part of the Uni-Q driver handles mid-frequencies from 3 kHz down to 400 Hz. The additional lower mid-range drive unit handles the range from 400 Hz down to 140 Hz where most musical dynamic energy occurs. The two Interported Coupled Cavity bass drivers cover the lower octaves from 140 Hz to 36 Hz (-6 dB), and even down to 32 Hz with the correct placement and room configuration.

Yes, they are the ones.

I am passing on for the price it cost me to land in Melbourne from Canberra(actually, a slight bit cheaper as shipping was $220)

They are an excellent speaker, but need a bit of room to breathe and a good amp.

Cheers,

Glenn

I have had a few people wanting to purchase these from interstate.

Would prefer to sell locally. as less hassle.

If no-one is interested locally, I will be willing to ship interstate via Pack''n'send as they did a supurb job of packaging and ensuring the speakers arrived in perfect condition.

Will give it a few more days and see what happens.

Hi Laurent,

Min room size would be probably 4m * 4m.

I have mine in a room 5m * 5m.

Yes, they do have a switchable bass attenuation. This is to be used if closer than 1.5 m from the wall.

If you follow this link, it will give you an option to download the manual for your reference.

I've had some queries in relation to the age of the speakers.

The KEF Ref 3.2 were produced between 2000 - 2001. If you check the KEF website as above, it will give you more info about the speakers.

The speakers are close to mint condition apart from the touch-up on the rear of one corner.
