GregWormald Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Music wise--Integer mode is back if you DAC supports it (Audirvana+ managed it previously.) Most adopters are finding that digital music sounds a bit more "real"--although not everybody agrees. This is possibly due to smoother power management. On my machines the transition was smooth with no problems. I haven't been able to compare the sound closely but I haven't noticed any major difference with Audirvana+ or BitPerfect. Greg
Ralph Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Ahhhhhgh! AirDrop still does not support file transfers between iOS and Mac         Apple - just do it!!
Gullintanni Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Absolutely no problems in updating my MacBook and iMac here. The sound from the iMac has improved substantially (no A/B testing), but pretty confident that it's not all wishful thinking. iMac -> W4S uLINK -> Bryston BDA-1 DAC.
xtrachewy Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Some people have reported missing PDFs / epubs after Maverick upgrade: i.e. when books was moved from iTunes to iBooks. For example: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23534231#23534231
davewantsmoore Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Is it faster? For what I use it for (Screensharing and terminal) it is very significantly improved in speed (especially screensharing) ... and battery-life. Screensharing no longer takes massive resources when it is off-screen .... no more burning knees. 1
hochopeper Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 Seems a bit faster for what I'm using on my iMac though for some reason the System Preferences windows takes a long time to open the last few times I've gone to use it, everything else seems about right or a bit faster.
