mwhouston
A tube amp would tame the brightness but you would need at least 40W or so. Any EL34/KT88 push-pull would do the job.

Volunteer sir sanders zingmore Posted January 25 Volunteer Share Posted January 25 Also read the stereophile review. A couple of things that stand out from the measurement section: Try this before you spend any money on new amps: "but these graphs suggest that experimenting with speaker toe-in and the listener's ear height will be necessary to get the most neutral treble balance from this speaker." And if you do decide to get a new amp: "Although technically this is an 8 ohm design, I think it should be used with amplifiers that are comfortable with 4 ohm loads."

I have two DIY wine box amps with 6L6s and a 12AT7 driver tube. One pair are JJs the others are vintage refurbished metal tubes. An amp I just could never live without. http://retro-thermionic.blogspot.com/2017/02/silver-supreme-6l6-se-ul-amp-in-wooden.html
chaddy
Running mine in a second system with a Musical Fidelity A3.5 integrated. HT bypass used with Denon AVR. If it's your main system general consensus seems to be a tube pre-amp and high current power amp. Edited January 26 by chaddy
Tdog87
I have just pieced together a system with similar speakers to yours, being the 702 Signature's and I decided to go with a NAD C298 power amp. The NAD is a neutral amp so doesn't really add or take away anything from the speakers and has sufficient power to drive my speakers to their full extent.
Jaykobe
Combinations I've seen used by dealers to pair with B&W speakers are Classe, McIntosh, Marantz and Krell. If you're concerned with brightness, also try Kimber speaker cables.
