RIP Christine McVie

Recommended Posts

Was sitting six rows from the stage, on her side at the Sydney concert back in Oct, 2015.

It was the "classic" lineup.

Was able to observe her closely as they didn't have the obligatory "space" between the front row and the stage.  In fact there was no gap and those in the 1st row could touch the stage from their seat.  They had Stevie Nicks singing to them a mere arm's length away on some songs(they did pay for the privilege).

They were all fantastic but her solo rendition of Songbird was mesmerising.

RIP Chrissie.

Just so very sad.

Chrissie was the rock (no pun intended) upon which the band existed and thrived. She didn't crave the attention that Stevie had, but just got on with being a great musician and vocalist.

Gone now to the great gig in the sky.

RIP and rock on Chrissie!

Saw them at the Rock Arena back in 77. They had some competition, but still very good back then. Glad she died peacefully.

What a fine musician Christine was, going right back to the early post/ Peter Green years. A sweet velvet voice, innate sense of what keyboards needed to do to lift a song, class all the way. Not many song writers get their tune picked for a presidential campaign.

I only saw them perform once ( I was also at that Calder Park concert) and remember them as one of the tightest bands ever.
