Found it all quite interesting till I came across Kylie Minoque !!!!

hehe I can remember "I should be so lucky" when came out and not sure whether bemused confused the attention it was getting at the time, but the curators note puts it in significance ... and having read the below I'm still shaking my head but can understand the significance ... :D

" I Should Be So Lucky was released in Australia on 29 December 1987, and in the UK on 1 January 1988. The song topped the charts in nine countries including Australia – where it ranked number five on the year-end chart for 1988 – and the UK, where the song spent five weeks at number one and sold over 600,000 copies. Minogue became the first artist to hold simultaneous number ones in Australia and the UK. In the US, the song peaked at number 28 on the Billboard chart but went Top 10 on the Billboard Dance chart. "

An interesting list. I'm surprised that there are only 39 items on the list! The inclusion of Kylie really makes the omission of AC/DC, INXS and Chisel more noticeable!

Good to see Road To Gundagai and Pub With No Beer. But come on, I Should Be So Lucky... over The Locomotion?!  :P
