Xonnie316 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Hey SNA forum members! I just thought I'd make a post about the band Rush. My dad's a big fan of this band in which he have their early records. I've been listening to them the past 2 years and enjoy their sound. I noticed that they never came to Australia for any concerts ? I simply can't understand how a talented band like this never made it over here. Have you guys heard the recent album Clockwork Angels ? What ya reckon ? Edited July 18, 2013 by Xonnie316 1
tubularbells Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Great post! Been a fan for the past 15 years after a friend introduced me to them. Im also surprised they never made it out here (from what im aware anyway) Although I pretty much love evey album my current top 3 would be Moving Pictures, Signals and Counterparts (new SACD remaster kicks a**) butI also really enjoy CA.
hired goon Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Been in to Rush since a wee lad. Got Caress Of Steel through Grace Under Pressure on vinyl. Got a collection of CDs as well, including a Mofi Moving Pictures. Saw 'em in the US, shame they've not toured here, but Spaghetti Lee's voice is in acquired taste it seems. --Geoff
beetle Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 yep, fan here. Got heaps of Rush vinyl and CD's. I wish they'd tour. I'm there.
ZEN MISTER Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 The other love that dares not speak its' name. ZM.
maxspl Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Rush in the 70,s and early eighties were one of the best rock bands out there for me. Got all of their albums. They are back on top form , their last two albums are excellent, snakes & arrows being a favourite of mine for late period Rush. Clockwork Angels is also a quality album.
Xonnie316 Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 Nice to hear some response! Their early material is simply great rock music! I heard their Clockwork Angels a good couple of times and I find it quite a good album listening to them still sticking to their style. Looking at their World Tour I find it such a shame they don't come out down here....
