Carrera1963 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Quite an interesting option for a small DIY sub! I wonder if the amp is a standard size for existing DIY kits...
Nada Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Nice find. Thanks. Three questions: 1. I wonder if this module would be better used as a sub-woofer application then a full range speaker given its D-class topology? 2. If so would it be possible to run a system off one computer to digitally feed one standard DAC (for main speakers) and also digitally feed two of these modules (in mono mode to run two sub-woofers) simultaneously? 3. Is it powerful enough for a sub-woofer as " If the average output power of the ICEpower250ASX2 exceeds 60W @ 4W (SE-mode with both channels driven) or 180W @ 8W (BTL-mode) for a long time at 25°C ambient temperature, the module will reach its maximum allowable temperature and the temperature protection will be activated."
