Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a custom pair of full range speakers built and was wondering if anyone can suggest any good speaker designer/builders out there, obviously track record of being able to build quality speakers but also quality cabinetry workmanship also... Any suggestions would be great! Thanks guys...

Member Aslan here fits the bill in being able to build high quality speakers.... and high quality cabinetry workmanship is part of this :)

Edit: Not sure if he has the time for this, but might be worth checking with him.

Edit2: Hmm...full range hay, might want to check with atilsley too, he's a full range and horn type of guy, I think.

That's why I mentioned the time factor, I know he has mainly other pursuits now :)

I'm happy to discuss new custom speaker projects, which is a significant part of my business. My services are flexible in nature. Some of my clients are DIY enthusiasts who want a design and want to build the entire thing themselves. Others want a flat pack they can build. And still others want a completely finished product. There is one speaker I'm working on that involves curved sides combined with constrained layer damping and a fairly elaborate construction. If you are wanting to see actual examples of work in the flesh, then you would probably need to go to a local  cabinet maker. In that case I could offer a design service and you could get it built locally.

In terms of speaker designs, any type of speaker is possible. Horn, fullranger, conventional multiway, omni, dipole, ESL. I have the capability to design, build and test all of these.

Having said this, if you wanted a 6 way passive speaker, I just might be suggesting alternatives!

Shoot me a PM if you'd like to discuss further.

I build my own speakers - mostly full range

It depends on your budget

I like to spend money on good drivers and save with DIY cabinets

Search out my builds on the forum - http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php?/topic/25206-audio-nirvana-full-range-drivers/

My current one is an open baffle design
