Hi Guys,

i was checking the setup of my JMW 10.5i tonearm yesterday, I unplugged the lemo connector and untwisted it...then plugged it back with one anti clockwise twist, as per instructions. I then noticed i had a quiet buzz coming from my tweeters. Now this happened when i initially set it up, but after powering everything down overnight, it was gone in the morning. Well the same thing this morning, when i powered it back up...silence from the tweeters, ear right up to them, nada. It seems that the Valhalla tonearm wires are sensitive to being disturbed and take a few hours to settle back down. Have any fellow VPI tonearm users noticed this peculiarity? When it happened the first time i went nuts changing interconnects, trying different grounding, turning stuff off around the house, all to no avail. I notice when the buzz is present it changes in level when you touch the loop of wire from the tonearm to the lemo connector.

Hi.

you may have one of the ground wire that doesn't have good solder join .i would check that by opening the Lemo plug and check all the wires .

enjoy and good luck
