Hi from Melbourne Australia

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, a few years ago I bought a pair of B&W DM110's for $5 at a garage sale and they changed my music listening world.  I realised for the first time ever what good sound really can be like.

Since then I have had a number of vintage amps and turntables but always kept the 110's.  I currently have an AMD XIA100 amplifier, a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon TT (it was too cheap to leave it behind!) and the DM110's.  I also use a Sansui 881 paired with another set of DM110s.  I am looking forward to more discoveries in sound as I plod along and different components come my way..

They were in great condition.  Honestly I didn't even know they were good speakers but for $5 I wasn't leaving them there.  I will post up a pic for you.  Ironically the other pair I run with the Sansui 881 were free.  My friend and neighbour told me she was chucking out her ex husband's stereo because he couldn't be bothered collecting it from the house and did I want to look at it before she put it on hard rubbish?  I went to look and needless to say the speakers and amp now live with me!  You can be lucky sometimes 😀
