Guest yamaha_man Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Listening to/watching this ATM and can't really say I'm happy with either the picture quality or mix. The picture is ok but have other Blu-ray disks (music) that crap on it. As for the mix, sonde very bright on my system with isn't a common trait. Any other opinions of this would be appreciated. Cheers.
Jeffro Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Unsure about the blu ray but I had the cd and turned it off after track 2. Bloody awful!! It won't get a second spin.

joz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Oh dear, I bought this the other week. I was excited about getting a quiet listening session to myself for a first spin, now I'm a bit worried.
Gee Emm Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Confusingly, there is (?) also a BD audio disc available. I think, but I'm not sure. Assume the position gentlemen. Buy the CDs, no wait, buy the blu-ray, no wait, buy the digi-pack, no wait, buy the CD/DVD pack, no wait, buy the CD/BR pack, no wait, buy the vinyl, no wait, buy the BDA. All I wanted was the best audio version. Which one is it? When I bought the CD/BR pack I didn't evene know you could buy a BRA disk, I'm still not sure you can. Whaddayamena you aing got a t-shirt, ya cheapskate! The audio on the BR video is poor. Bu that's OK, we're not customers, we're cashed up fools! Graham

joz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Led Zep & quiet listen in the same sentence!? Bit of an oxymoron isn't it

joz Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 http://www.amazon.com/music/dp/B009E9R2OK Doh!! Thats what I was wanting, instead I got the dumbed down version.
Gee Emm Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 (edited) OK. But I aint givin' any more money. There was no info that the BDA was gunna be available when I pre-ordered my CD/BR pack. They can go and get stuffed! Ask me what I really think! Edited June 27, 2013 by mr-happy-pants
emesbee Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I have to admit to being somewhat disappointed with this release too. Video quality on the blu-ray is quite poor, and audio quality could certainly have been better. Great performance though. There is really no excuse for poor quality video in this day and age. I bought the 4 disc version, by the way (with the DVD rehearsal footage).
maxspl Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Yeah , unfortunately celebration day is a bit of a mixed bag audio and video wise. I have the 4 disc version with rehearsal dvd and bluray video disc. The Blu ray audio only disc . And the EU pressed vinyl box set. For some reason they have decided to dynamically compress the vinyl , god knows why, its not like anyone is going to record it and play it on an ipod. The vinyl sounds slightly better than the cd. The blu ray audio only disc is the best sounding version though, it has more dynamic range and a smoother more relaxed sound than either the cd or the vinyl release.
Phantom Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Ask me what I really think! OK then. Waddya really think?
