bryanlam Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hi everyone, I'm looking for a SUT to match to my cart Denon DL103R. Any recommend/advice would be appreciate. Thanks. Bryan
cheekyboy Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hi Bryan, Denon AU-300LC should do the trick. Cheers, Keith
lovetube Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Hi Bryan, Denon AU-300LC should do the trick. Cheers, Keith I vote for Lundahl made in Sweden Keith Cheers Duc
cheekyboy Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I vote for Lundahl made in Sweden Keith Cheers Duc I have no experience with the Lundahl, Duc, but I did have a Denon AU-300LC and it was a very good match for the Denon DL103. Is the Lundahl around the same price point as the AU-300LC?............because I could recommend Slee's Elevator EXP too that I know works very well with the DL103, but it's more than three times the price. Cheers, Keith 1
andyr Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I vote for an (active) head amp - the AKSA "Paris". See here: http://www.aksaonline.com/products/products.html (Scroll down to "Paris".) You may not understand this but which one is best to use (SUT vs. head amp) ... is a "religious" argument! Regards, Andy
TD19 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I don't know what your price point is but this would be a worthy candidate: http://new.audiogon.com/listings/phono-auditorium-23-a23-denon-dl103-step-up-sut-2013-06-10-preamplifiers-australia :and it's being sold by an SNA member (not me!). I was going to suggest a Bobs Devices SUT, which are also DL103-centric, but his price not much less than the A23 and probably more when you add shipping. 1
MellowFellow Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Denon AU-300LC should do the trick. I run one of these with my DL-304 and am happy with it. Bought mine 2nd-hand from hifido.
MusicallyBiased Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) Bryanlam, One of the advantages of a low output MC is the minimal signal path of the small generator coils; to preserve this advantage consider using a good active pre-amp instead of any transformer. All being well, you will have a more natural, detailed presentation, and you might even spend less. Ideally, try some options for yourself in a blind test. YMMV, personal taste, etc, etc. Edited June 24, 2013 by MusicallyBiased
bryanlam Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Thanks everyone. Now I think I will go with Denon AU300LC or 320 or 340. Lundah & A23 & EXP are out of my budget.

metal beat Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Thanks everyone. Now I think I will go with Denon AU300LC or 320 or 340. Lundah & A23 & EXP are out of my budget. If you are interested pm me, I have an AU320 and a 300LC. My Ortofon verto also works very well, however sounds like it is out of your price range. Cheers
