tesla13BMW Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 To those of SNA who use multiple turntables, how do you select them? Are you using multiple phono stages? Do you unplug and plug into a single phono stage? Do you have a selector box? Can you use a Y connector? If going the selector box route what have people found to be good? If looking to DIY do the grounds get switched also? P.S. I am only looking to select between 2 (maybe 3) TT's into a phono which will then go to my pre. Any information would be gratefully received. Cheers, Chris.
Grumpy Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Great question(s) I too would like to add another TT in my system and was thinking of using double adapter type RCA plugs or Y cables.
Batty Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I have an SUT with 2 inputs and switchable coils for MC and a bypass for MM. This allows me to use 2 TTs, I have 6 at the moment though.
thoglette Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Back to one at the moment. When I had two I did it all - I normally had multiple RIAA pre amps to chose from as well.
tesla13BMW Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Hi E Man Do you have a suggestion of a switching box that will have minimal sound degradation?
