HansSlinger
I use my laptop to play FLAC files through my Rotel RA-1592 via a PC-USB cable. I would love to be able to use my phone to control and play the music on my PC. I currently have the Winamp remote control app which isn't too bad, but directory search is a bit limited. Keen to hear thoughts!
Jeddie
Do you have a home network? By PC do you mean windows? If so, here a couple for you to try. * Bubbleupnp (free) * Media Monkey & remote plugin (not sure if free) * Musicbee (Free) & remote plugin (Free) I'm sure someone else will be along with a couple more. HansSlinger
Yes Windows PC and on a home network. Thanks for the suggestions, I will give them a go! In the last couple of days I successfully got remote access to the latest version of Winamp using the Playa Control app and adding all my music ony PC to the Winamp library. It's not perfect, and ugly as sin, but works ok as an initial solution. http://android.malzner.net/ Edited April 10 by HansSlinger
Jeddie
Also foobar 2000 is another one. I found it complicated but then again I'm not very bright.

MattyW
I'd certainly look at the other options mentioned above. WinAmp has truly awful sound quality compared to..... Nearly anything. One of the great improvements for me was moving away from WinAmp though I do have fond memories and was a long term user from the 90's though to about 8 years ago.
