betty boop Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 out on blu-ray in the uk, below is a short review, The Hunt - UK Release - 5.1 DTS Master Audio Danish Language with english subtitlesMovie - 4/5 - A danish language film, in beautiful nordic autumn winter small town setting. While hunting is traditional in these parts "the hunt" refers to another dark aspect to the film where some innocent words from a child leads to the worlds of main charecter, families and community turned upside down.PQ - 5/5 - Beautifully photographed in lovely setting in a beautifull light. whether indoors or outdoors or in the woods settings its all very well done.AQ - 5/5 - good clean dialog, where needed it has plenty of punch. Good atmospherics and use of surrounds and effects to add to the overall feel of the movie. There are plenty of moments that sneak up on you and sound effects are used well in this regardOverall - 4/5 - A film that really draws you into the charecter and into the community. You really do feel as though part of the story and find it hard / helpless as far as what is happening and out of control way things progress. Having watched a few nordic films of late am really getting into this kind of genre of film and can highly recommend it. No feel good movie here either by the way ! some screen shots, but given the massive reduction in uploading these dont really feel captures how well this looks on screen 1
Young Skywalker Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Saw this at Dendy Opera Quays recently. A great film which explores a dark and difficult subject.
unclemack Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 really want to see this... Mads is mad! Difficult subject matter and from what I've heard, beautifully realised for the screen...
