What a truly great read.

I totally understand his passion and obsession. I'm only a vinyl newbie, especially compared to him, plus I only have a very humble vinyl rig to say the least, even so, I find myself obsessing over every tiny detail now trying to squeeze everything I have out of what I own. And I love it, I love obsessing over it so I can only imagine the joy this genius must experience achieving by what he is doing, he is the ultimate vinyl geek & my new hero :)

Good on him, I wish him every success and I will keep an eye out for his future "budget" releases.

Bonus points from me for the mention of an Aga in the article.

Got to admire a guy with such conviction.

I admire that fellows dedication but he obviously does it as a labour of love because it sounds like he will never get a return on his investment.

Good on him!

I'm not so sure… it's always good spin to say its done for love but the cynical side of me thinks you don't create a commercial business and throw those sorts of $$$ around without some sort of business plan.

But then again, knowing how obsessive this hobby can make us…

Pine should be here end of the week.

Thanks Doc.

I'm hoping mine will arrive in the next few days - I succumbed to temptation and put in an order.

I emailed them in May, got a reply when the next releases were available, but then chickened out due to the cost.

After the recent Stereophile and Fremmer reviews , I figured I'd missed my chance due to the interest that the reviews would generate, but checked out their site late one night 2 weeks ago and found they were available again and so made an impulse buy.

Arrived a few days ago.

I'm really not sure how to describe them - stunning, mesmerising?

I've been struggling not to listen to them, if that makes any sense.

Of all the records I've bought in the last 8 months ( 300ish), these have spent more time being played in their first few days than anything else I've bought.

I'll try and post more details later, as I cant really articulate why they sound so good ; they just do.

I can understand why the originals are so sought after (and so expensive).
