Flynnyfalcon Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Hi all, I've done a fair bit of research on both of these setups and individually they both appear very competent setups, but I'm yet to find a direct comparison. Can anyone offer any advice as to their performance in a 70-30 Music-HT sound off? I'm yet to demo the R100's but have heard the RX6's which were very impressive. I can't find a local specialist who has both the KEF's in RX's in stock so I'm a little bewildered by the choice. I have an Onkyo 808 and as mentioned use it mainly for music. Clarity and soundstage are high in my list, as is a warm strong bass output. The R100's I realise probably can not compete with the RX6's without the help of the sub, but that aside how do they compare? The R100's are pushing my budget to the extremes, and will require stands, but the RX6's are quite big and cumbersome which the wife isn't a huge fan of. Any thoughts will be hugely appreciated :-)
Flynnyfalcon Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Or should I just kill off my 5.1 and live with a nice 2.0 setup... LS50's?
maximus Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Hi Flynnfalcon, Melbourne Hi Fi have the full Kef 'R' series on display as well as a number of Monitor audio's as well. It would be worth a trip for an audition I'd say. cheers Frank.
