Iano Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Did a few renovations to downstairs and the rigs sounding as good as it ever has. I've had the core components for close to 12 years now, and everything was purchased brand new. The amp recently had a complete service. Yeah, I could've upgraded years ago but I'm very fond of it. Also extremely picky about looks/aesthetics - it took me about 5 years just to talk myself into upgrading the TV. Dyn 42s Rotel 971 mk2 Rotel 951 CD player Sonique 1200 sub Perreaux SXH1 headphone amp Sennheiser HD590s (not pictured) Recently added: Panasonic 47in LED TV Panasonic Blu-Ray/HDD recorder Rack is an original Belloggetti I bought in 1998, used it ever since and will continue to, the styling is timeless. The 8mm vinyl flooring we had put down mid last year (fantastic stuff with young kids) sounds just wonderful as it's the ground floor and rests on a solid concrete slab. Would definitely recommend it for acoustics if nothing else. 2
Krispy Audio Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Nice and clean looking system you have there, good stuff. I'm enjoying the same flooring combination and it's a winner for minimal vibes and maximal kid-resistance!
wolster Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Lovely gear. Looks terrific. .....but the picture is crooked
Jventer Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Good looking As I have three kids myself I understand the blue plastic crate as an additional pot plant container . Love the looks and the floor. Enjoy!
Iano Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 The waterfall was indeed crooked when I took that - now fixed!
Iano Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 So I've just replaced the wires with all QED ones: Profile Precision interconnect for the cd player Qunex for the amp to sub pre-out 6m of Genesis Revelation for the Dyns (terminated with airlock bananas) Wowwwwwwww. The difference from 10yo Ixos Gamma 6002 is quite staggering. I thought the kit was performing near its peak before, I was very wrong. Everything is on fire detail & balance wise. Best $150 I could have spent!
