Chord Electronics HeadFi Products Owners & Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

I heard about this last week, wasn't going to say anything being that Chord hadn't launched it yet.

It's basically a sub $1000 Hugo headphone amp.

Which makes it pretty special IMO. Hugo was remarkable, but not something I would carry around.

I've been living with Mojo, partnered with my Galaxy Note 4 using USB Audio Player Pro. Just wow.

Have you got a Mojo you say @@Marc

Have you ever used a Hugo, any difference?

Sorry, I havnt read your link above.

I had a Hugo for an extended time, and a Hugo TT for a few weeks.

I believe the Mojo is easily on par with the Hugo ... big call I know!

Yes we've had the Mojo for a little while, I'm using it now.

Out of respect for the embargo by Chord we could not talk about it, but as it has leaked now (see the linked article), the information is freely available on the internet and the embargo is no longer valid.

Thanks for that Marc, and can we please not turn another Chord thread into "it's ugly" like the Dave thread.

If you have bad taste, I don't care ;)

All chord gear is completely different design to everything else, we get it.

probably the ugliest component I have seen for a long time.

How are those plastic seams too

But who cares really, if it makes up for this with SQ I'd happily fork over for one.

On looks, it's certainly dividing people. I like it.

Plastic seams? There's nothing plastic about Mojo (except for the marbles controlling power and volume). It's machined from solid aluminium and in your hand feels like a weapon.

Ahh I see. From the photos I assumed it was a plastic product.

I meant the seam that you can see in that shot - the two pieces don't line up right, and aren't snug with the connections. A pet peeve of mine.

It's a moot issue so long as it sounds good though.
