Blowing the dust off the Yamaha drivers, still amazes me how good these things sound next to the Wilson's.

Giving the LP-12 a spin also, with the newly installed Zyx cart it sounds very nice.

Ah...iPhone...say no more, if it was a Galaxy we'd not be having this conversation...(truly). If Fangs wants to post then that'll be good.

Edit: I'm obviously taking the p.iss  so don't take offence(people seem a bit touchy of late)

What's the advantage of a naked porta filter ?

not to derail this thread, but will answer quickly.

its to see how your extraction is and if there are any issues.

best way to check IMHO.

happy to discuss it further in the coffee thread if you like

Nice pics - can you tell us something about the Roadster pic next to the beer tap please? Is it a roadster- hotrod?

Well I'm not sure if your familiar with Eddie Meyer, he was Vic Edelbrocks' competition on the salt back in the day.

This is a pic of him signed by his son who is now in his 90's.

This was sent to me by a very good friend who has a Eddie Meyer museum at his house and who has Bud Meyers celebrate his birthday at his house each year.

For those in the know, my mate who sent me the pic, sold me a full set of restored Kinmont Brakes about 7 years ago, since aquiring this hifi obsession the roadster hasn't been touch in years. The Kinmonts as well as lots of other old school hotrod items are awaiting their return on my '33 steel body roadster.
