Grumpy Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Wasn't sure if this should go in the DIY or here thread. I'm building a new plinth for my Garrard 401 and SME arm Seano who doesn't post here anymore showed a pic of a bench top he was building and I mentioned that I was looking for similar wood for a plinth. A few PM's and emails later and he began work on a glued together slab of River RedGum made up of approx 80mm x 40mm lenghts of 500mm long pieces this - He gave it a bit of a sand and a square-up and posted it to me and it arrived looking impressive this- I then cut a bloody big hole in it (hardest wood I've ever cut) this- Then more cutting for the arm and a access hole for the arm .
