Studer C37 arrived πŸ‘

Recommended Posts

I know of one other which is also in Melbourne.

Β

It will be fantastic to see and hear in action,Β  these machines are historical, fascinating on many levels and amazing that this format is still today the pinnacle with the matching material to play on it.

Β Β

Very appreciate of Fidelity Sounds sharing the experience with us.

Ah ! Thanks for that info.

Beautiful piece of history.

Nice,Β  old model made well with plug together modules you can remove and replace so as to keep the machine running and not hold it up for maintenance or repair - this was clever. There is reason why these still work 60 years later.

Β

And for people looking at the images it has some interesting features;

Β

- what looks like three little round lights on the left bottom module and same looking five little lights in the upper central module are the fuses holders. When a fuse blowsΒ Β the holder lights up to tell you its blown.

Β

-and, you can justΒ  barely see it behind the frame to the right but there is a lightbulb that lights up - its used as ballast on the power.

Β

- also, you mount it at the top so the frame suspends and the tubes are isolated from vibrations.

Β

Oh, and i forgot, it sounds great too.
