Truth be told I'd likely get a low mileage Mirage Cyborg for under 10k.

It would satisfy my want for performance, but align with my want for practicality.

If limited to just one car in the garage.

Audi RS6. Relatively discrete looks, a wagon with lots of room for cargo and dogs, AWD. Comfortable and goes ok too.

Goes ok 😉

Wouldn’t mind a fully restored E-type jaguar with a supercharged 4.2l six ………in BRG and tan, of course

Not that it's possible because none of them survived but how about a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T used in Vanishing Point. And no I have no desire to go looking for any bulldozers.

I’d be happy with a fully restored BMW 635csi

I wouldn’t track my car if my life depended on it.

Don’t get me wron, I know I mentioned that my cars potential is wasted on roads, but even if I had a 911 Turbo S, I still wouldn’t track it.

Just curious, why? Risk of damage?

(White?) Correct

Just a fantastic, fun car. Extremely agile, very fast, and hugely tactile. All whilst still serving as a practical hatchback. And reasonably affordable. (Affordable as long as you stick within the speed limits).

Just don't use the cruise control (if it's anything like my Megane).

100%.

The Megane RS is my affordable dream car.

I had a long test drive a few years back and have never forgotten how great it was. I couldn't wipe the smile from my face for hours.

If fortune smiles upon me in a modest way I will be ordering one of these in Winning Yellow or Tonic Orange.

Yep, I'll play.:)

Now let's see, for my all-round "daily driver", I want 4 doors and 4 seats, all wheel drive and a practical hatch/wagon configuration.  I have no real need for a high-riding SUV style off-roader and no desire to compromise ride, handling etc by owning a huge, truck-like vehicle.

The Porsche Panamera GTS Turismo checks all the boxes and then some.  The only negative is the price, which is exorbitant, even by Porshe standards.  Take money out of the equation, and I'd be happy with one of these.  There's really not a lot else in the same category despite the fact that it's an extremely enticing mix of sporty driving ability, desirability and day-to day-practicality.

@rantanI know you love these, you've mentioned it b4 on another thread, I've mine for almost 2 years, one of the only cars i've owned where you never get sick of driving it. Best of luck with the tatts ticket mate....

Congratulations with the purchase, they've got so much prodigious grip and handling ability, you're always yearning for more, sounds like you're really enjoying it.

In the spirit of the game, "If I could afford it"

I've gone above & beyond the day dream arena & entered the fantasy realm, with a final twilight zone entry lol.

1st up, the ole chook is going to need a runabout for shopping & running errands around town. So for her.....

Porsche Macan GTS, she enjoyed the Macan S I brought home for the weekend lol.

1142085518_MacanGTS.thumb.jpg.68c05ed3c6a1e849a457e83ca5f9a702.jpg

Now I'm going to need something to run around in picking up.. stuff I guess, room enough for speakers / amps etc.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, should work OK

265407375_alfaromeoquadrifoglio.jpg.4881b0702b5142d8d71ef8a2fdcc17c9.jpg

Sometimes you just want to pack up & head bush for the weekend, or maybe take the ship out. Either way I'm going to need a 4x4 to tow the ship or head up that old unused fire track in the Grampians, or an ice-cream at Halls Gap.

Enter the Marauder - for when a Hummer just wont cut it.

199693865_Marauder.jpg.e222358a8c27126df10bcec7ded772d2.jpg

Every now & then an item comes up the SNA classifieds that you just have to pick up, but it;s intestate. The Porsche & Alfa are fine to zip around town but for fast, comfortable weekend trips interstate?

Lets take the - Mercedes-Maybach Brabus 900, Twin turbo V12

881792471_Mercedes-MaybachBrabus900.jpg.d1b16b5de8d06e22c917ef2a0a698052.jpg

Also need a toy for when you just want to have some serious fun

SSC Tuatara Striker should cover that.

208595863_TuataraStriker.jpg.c81187533d1748e2c9b30ab9dd8e084b.jpg

But hang on, what about having fun with 3 mates, better have one of these in the garage so we can share the excitement

Koenigsegg Gemera - true 4 seater supercar

1021097958_KoenigseggGemera.jpg.d183d54ea9b811737fcabe17f46592d4.jpg

Hmm, what to do when the Porsche or Alfa need to be serviced? For such occasions we can use -

Mercedes  S65 V12

186059087_MercS65V12.jpeg.35508633b895d01af6703d25ce062e47.jpeg

Now in case the Bitcoin market falls over, I've also made payment on this to be delivered after the others have been repo'd lol. No idea when it will be finally available tho. I believe other then designers & builders, Supercar Blonde is the only outside person to drive the proto-type.

Devel-sixteen

devel-sixteen.jpg.888970095f50b4a72386f3cf694f6484.jpg

The only 2 I have access to are the Macan S & the Alfa, wouldn't it be nice lol :)

Quiet country road and I'd bet the Sonus Faber sound system would be turned off. Enjoy the car's own soundtrack. Mind you, a generation ago it would have been a high revving V8 with a glorious note. I love the looks of the MC20, undeniably a modern super car but with taste.

I've got a B&O system in my car, car audio is pretty ordinary for quality but I do enjoy music whilst driving. Maybe more so that sitting in front of the stereo at home (lobs grenade and ducks for cover).

List 5 or 6 then :) Sounds like my tastes, has to be great to drive. Plenty of feedback, performance and looks. My Focus ST is very nice up and own the Grampians ;)

Hmmm, OK.

Classic—Jaguar XKE

For trips with friends—Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

For cruising down to the beach—Rolls Royce (maybe a Dawn)

For hooning around in the twisties—Porsche Boxster (I've got one of these:))
