Cloth Ears
Stupidly large amount of money - Lotus Type 130 Practical vehicle - Mercedes C250e or C350e (same amount of torque as the AMG V8, in a practical wagon body) Funster - Opel OPC Astra (gosh that was fun when I had it) This is a nice colour! All the local ones are black with various trims... 16 hours ago, blakey72 said: I like this a lot too. McLaren 765LT Edited December 17, 2021 by Cloth Ears Now with illustrations! vinilink
Latest Kia Cerato GT sedan Why would I buy it? - readily available to purchase (only downside is, have to be on waitlist due to chip shortages) and is realistic car to drive - cos I can afford it (no need a car loan, unless buying it under business name for tax credit) - doesn't grab attention on the road What attracted to me? - decent performance for the price according to reviews - good size for my daily life - like the styling (at least to my eyes) - reasonable cost for maintenance with long warranty period - good backup services and good dealership network throughout Oz if anything goes wrong like many other established brands - good value for money - easy to sell Have I driven it? - yet to test drive it as I am not in the market for a new one and don't like to waste other people's time, but I will do so when I am on the market for a car.

Could not agree more. I actually own one and it is just as you say, balanced, fun, and just a well executed package. My ONLY gripe is that it has very sport oriented suspension, which is not entirely necessary for the car as it stands and could be dialled back a few notches as it is very firm over potholes and will tell you exactly how good ( or bad ) the road surface is. Otherwise, it is probably the best thing going under $40K and I love it. Grizzly
Because, just look at it!! Possibly the most practical classic you can get, with (unusually) factory support for spare parts still. With cost no object, perhaps a very sensitive electric conversion. Not a fan of those indicators though, look like they were an afterthought for the US market Edited December 17, 2021 by Grizzly 2

Rob Poort
Oh, i love cars and like this thread. Considering this is a what if, dream thread i would have to take a selection for different uses. Track Car. Porsche GT3 (nothing better IMHO) Pure road driven sports car would be upcoming Murray T50. NA V12. 660 HP, 980Kg with a 12000 RPM redline! Any weather, any conditions flat out fun and raw pocket rocket with authentic homologation DNA. GR Yaris. (Already own ) Long distance high speed hauler would be Ferrari FF And just for fun. BMW M coupe as a real tail happy fun drifty little beast that I've always loved the looks of in person. Lastly the new Lotus Emira, should be a great all around everyday somewhat affordable sports car. Oh, and can't forget daily driver for general running about with kids, dogs etc. Porsche Taycan Cross. 2

I used have this XY Fairmont 250 cu in 4.1L and followed by 302 cu in 4.9L Windsor V8 which someone nicked it. All my 2 models used to have exact same over ride bumper and V8 had same long range extra high beam lights. Still remember the NSW rego off my head. (GKV-5.. and CPQ-0..)
