Here are some of my tubes ...

My power amp is a Bob Latino upgrade kit of the classic Dynaco Stereo 70.

It features larger output transformers and power transformer, a re-designed driver stage and uses KT88 output tubes.

It also has switchable Pentode / Triode mode operation and stepped gain control.

My pre amp is from Vacuum Tube Audio in the USA and features 6SN7 tubes.

It also has dual output RCA sockets ... one set of outputs via Russian Military Spec Paper in oil Coupling caps ... and the other set of RCA outputs via Mundorf Silver in oil M-Cap coupling caps.

It is available as a kit but I opted to have it built instead.

I'm enjoying one of Earle's 300B Time Machines. Finished in a custom grey, with matching grey metal work. Has a pre-out which I can use to run separate amp for bass duties.

Earlier, I had Earle custom build for me a 2A3 class A amp in Push Pull mode (also called a Time Machine). This used x4 2A's to generate around 12 watts RMS. A gutsy amp...with the lovely finesse of the the 2A3 valve.

This amp is not mine but it might be in the near future. It looks very cool in a form factor sense and sounds wonderful as well.

I was only able to have a quick audition as they had just unpacked it and it wasn't warmed up or run in, but I will be checking it out very closely ASAP  and since they have 25% off RRP at the moment the decision may be even easier. Anyone here had a good  listen to one of these as yet?

I posted this picture in the system thread but thought this thread could do with some more patronage. Not the greatest photo, but at least you can see it.

You guys must be poor, many of you can't afford a flash for you camera, or maybe you all took your photos during earth hour.

Some pics of my Melody - plenty of tubes, that's for sure!

Recently totally replaced all tubes with :12 Svetlana 6P1 equivalent tubes

4 - GE 5671 NOS 1971 & 2- GE 5751 Triple Mica black plate 12AX7

Now like a new amplifier! :D

Ed, is it the sauvignon or the cortese

only reason i ask, is i recall my sauvignon only had the 1 rectifier tube on the power supply and only 4 valves on the pre amp

oh how i miss it  :(

If you could, would you take a Sauvignon over your Moon?
