Further information:

Just bought this DAC few days ago from a nice member here ...  he had used this only few hours and I used it less than 4 hours so practically it is as brand new ... just as was curious to test and also have a separate system which didn't happen so this one should go to new owner . I can say this is a good capable DAC , specially from USB and to balance output... having the volume control and remote is very beneficial ...

Hi Mason
Are you able to make an attempt at describing the sound signature or charachter?
From a quick google it seems these units lean to the brighter side.
If it is any help as a reference, I am loking to replace an Ifi iDSD Neo which failed and was returned.
It would be used for streaming Tidal / Qubuz etc from Laptop pc, to serve as DAC & Pre into a power amp.
Thanks,
Sailordave

Hi David

first of all I dont know myself as a person who can describe sq very easily with words...I know what I like and what I dont but not easy to describe ...

so I can tell, it was bright when I get it.. specially in compare with other DAC I have...after leave it on for a week and use it ...I can tell it is not bright anymore , it get smoother while kept its  transparency  ... I am using it mostly with Tidal too...

Thanks for the description Mason
Yes, describing sound charachters of equipment is difficult and subjective. But ah, with current restrictions its difficult to demo....
What set up have you been drivng with it? Head phones or into an amp and speakers?
What cables does the unit come with? Power, Usb B type?
Is the original purchase reciept included? Do you know where it was purchased?
I'm curious about why this DAC has been sold by two different people so quickly, just seems a bit unusual not to get to know it better.
Cheers

I had the X20 with dual 9018 sabre DACs and it replaced  the iDSD  (original) the Gustard was way better. iDSD sound dull and flat compared to the Gustard. You'll hear deep thumping bass and high that go higher compared to the ifi unit.
This x20 Pro is suppose to be a big step up from the one I had.
