Further information:

This a flagship Class XD integrated amplifier from Cambridge, with two toroidal transformers and dual mono amplification blocks.

Clean power and high current, with very low distortion: 120W into 8 Ohms and 200W into 4 Ohms.  Will drive any pair of spe akers with ease.

The amp features the option of home theatre by-pass (ie direct input) on each of it's eight channels.  It also includes input levelling, bypassable tone controls, a balance control and a headphone amplifier - these can be set for each input.

Still retailing for over $3,000, and received rave reviews (including from Stereophile, who described it as "sounding like a modest man's Pass Labs amp. I'm talking under $5000 for amp, speakers, and cables that play with the impact, sophistication, color, and refinement of systems costing maybe $20,000 or more."
