Further information: NAD 3020a Amp

Was a daily driver for me in various systems I have had over the last 40 years.

It is well and truly due for some TLC and probably a refurb.

Still works last time I used but may have some weak solder points as one speaker channel drops out occasionally and power leds stopped working a while ago.

Has chip and small crack on fascia.

Takes me back 35+ years ago leaving Len Wallis in my mates Fiat 124.
I'm sitting in the back with the box on my lap unwinding the string as he explains the value it represents.
So began my audio journey.
My friend was a haemophiliac who later died from a HIV contaminated transfusion, the sweetest guy.
Eternally grateful he turned me on to a hobby which brings such joy.

One simply can not buy an amp at a price that the NAD 3020A sells for in comparision to the music it reproduces.

I also love that old school design of having the back panel connections facing upwards, rather than facing back to the wall.  So much easier to peer over the top to set things up and make changes.  Bring it back, amp makers, I say!  GLWTS - though for an iconic amp at this price you shouldn't need luck.

My first separates in 1985 ( in the UK) Dual 505 , MS 20 and a NAD 3020b

the NAD was a lovely sounding amp

still have the 3020b linked up to the mordant shorts as a garage system and still going strong

cant seem to part with them … oh a friend has my Dual …

all it needs now is FGTH … Two tribes 12” .. in the background
