drdth Posted August 3, 2021 Share Posted August 3, 2021 Music was my first love and my aging ears have always been excited by exploring timbres buried in well mastered productions. Most of this passion was directed towards casual home recording, some DSP research, playing with vintage analogue synths and of course casual listening sitting in the sweetspot. So I am still new to most of the 'playback' gear discussed here. My membership with the AES got me to a few places with amazing setup around Melbourne - but my home audiophile budget is definitely more moderate than these professional players. I'm enjoying the wide imaging of a couple of Yamaha NS-B750s as well as the accurate timbre reproduced by my KEF Q950s driven by a CXA81.
