Does anyone know much about these? Also potential value? (I may sell)
Ive owned them for quite some years, Dallas Clarke has gone over them and made all good.
May have originally been in ABC studios, I bought from a now closed recording studio in Tamworth.
I think they may be Ferguson Transformers (maybe Trimax?).
They sound quite nice.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi

Yes, they are Trimax.

I have heard them on a couple of occasions and think they sound really good.

I think the value would be around $1500 to $2000 but depends on the valves, brand, condition, age etc etc.

If the amps have been checked by Dallas they should be in good condition.

Hope that helps.

The transformers and the choke are Ferguson types. The OP 487 does not appear in the old manufacturer's catalogues and I suspect it is the model   stipulated by John Moyle for the Playmaster 17 watt  Ultra Linear amplifier  or a special build for Centre Industries and possibly  , also a  transformer  based on the Mullard 5/20  design.  Only measurement will  reveal its intended use.

Just adding to the 2 excellent posts above from @Herbyj and @VanArn the following site may be of assistance. Those are definitely fergie trafo iron. The EL34 pair in each monoblock if original may also be worth a lot. Care to share any close up photos?

Thank you for the link, that certainly looks exactly like them.
Ive lost track of the original EL34s unfortunately.
