RCAJack Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Reportedly asking $95,000. I can buy one for all of my pool rooms and all of my pools Except, sadly sales are limited to just seven systems. Why must one always compromise? https://mikeshouts.com/penfolds-grange-70th-anniversary-record-player-console/ Back to reality, I’m a bit surprised they didn’t go for a vintage style speaker grill cloth. I’d also like to know what ‘full range’ drivers they’re using (speakers are apparently supported by a 300W sub). I suspect the party will exit the wine cellar for the main listening room long before high volume is allowed to cause Hendrix-at-Monterey levels of feedback (or smoke). Of course the most conscientious listeners would need to compare performance with the LP cupboards stacked to different capacities, and the Grange Magnums empty versus full (this test needs to be AB’d extensively so that blind testing is assured). On behalf of Stereonet, I bravely volunteer to evaluate the system in this way if Penfolds would be kind enough to oblige one for review. 1
