Previously withdrawn due to logistical difficulties created by Covid lockdown in Victoria. Re-listed, with a price drop, following the announcement of Victoria lockdown #5 lifting. There is additional info in the listing from the original ad that includes some clarification based on PMs I received last time.

B&W CM10 S2 in Rosenut finish - I have owned these beautiful beasts from new. These very rarely come-up on the second-hand market, and for very good reason. Lockdown #5 created the perfect storm of my not being able to collect their replacements and the sudden realisation that I may never hear them again once they're gone; since withdrawing the first ad, I have gone through a good portion of my vinyl and digital catalogue and really listened to them properly again. I'm going to miss them, but nothing would make me happier than passing them on to someone moving up the chain on their audio journey. They really are highly capable speakers and will work their magic across any genre thrown at them. They have a big sound with plenty of range, digging down to 45Hz - 8 Ohm impedance with a decent 90dB/W/m sensitivity, so are pretty easy to drive. This model was superseded by the 702 S2 which was a supposed improvement, however, most people find the 702 S2 to be a bit too bright in comparison to the CM10 S2.

The only reason I'm letting these go is due to new incoming speakers and not wanting to test the tolerance of my lovely wife by keeping too much unused kit around the house. I've dropped the price a couple of hundred bucks, not because I am desperate for the cash, but because I don't want the clutter.

You can see from the pics that they are mounted on the plinths that they came with, which are removable if necessary for fitting them in the back of your car.

Also included:

8 x spikes and nuts if you want to use them instead of the soft rubber feet screwed into the plinth,

2 x 2-piece port bungs to fine-tune bass - especially useful if you need to site the back of the speaker closer than 70cm to a wall,

Original manual,

2 x transportation screws for steadying the mid-range driver whilst in transit,

4 x jumpers if you are single-wiring (I'm currently bi-wiring, so they have been removed)

I have everything except the original boxes and for that reason, my strong preference is on pick-up/meet-up only and have priced-in the inconvenience for the buyer. I really do not want to attempt to pack your new speakers (without the original boxes) that are in perfect (and I do mean perfect) working condition, only to have the passion-fingered freight company kill them and then have to disappoint their new guardian. I might consider Pack and Send at your cost and risk, but frankly it's a distant second in terms of preference. I'm 45 mins out of Melbourne on the Calder Fwy - and I'm even happy to meet-up on the North side of Melbourne if that helps you and you don't want to audition them first. They will fit in a hatchback with the seats down easily. Bring quilts/blankets/pillows/small children to use as protection/packing material.

One of the speakers has a small ding in the veneer at the top, rear, right hand side - see pic with red circle in it. It really doesn't notice unless you get close. This was due to me being a klutz when putting my record cleaner away and I caught the speaker at a slightly awkward angle with the edge of the cleaner (don't panic, the speaker remained upright!).

Pics included with and without covers (covers are pristine) as well as in wider angle shot to show how they look in my setup and to give you an idea of how they might work in yours.

Please note, the centre speaker is not for sale, so please do not try to bundle it in on the deal.

Great effort in the listing  looks alot of quality speaker for the $   glws

Thank you. I want someone to be delighted with the purchase, so it's worth the effort to me to kindle some interest. They are a quality speaker at a steal, for sure. I know I'm not asking top $ - I'd rather make someone happy than tease an extra buck out of it - I seem to remember them being over $6k new and were well worth that in my opinion.

Over the weekend, I put on the RSD Dee Gees - Hail Satin LP. These babies rocked it. Mrs Tel and I were grooving away like teenagers to the sound of the Foos covering You Should Be Dancing.
