Niktech Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I’ve been reading with interest the thread over on Audiophile Style about an audiophile Nvme SSD. Is anyone thinking of purchasing? https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topic/62753-nvme-ssd-designed-for-audiophiles/ https://auvido.com/nvme-ssd-designed-for-audiophiles
Nic_o Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 It looks like that dropped a couple of week late for April Fools 1
Bunno77 Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Interesting idea and great to have external PSU input and heatsink is pretty cool. At 800 USD though it's not on my radar

Guest Old Man Rubber Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 (edited) Won't be a proper audiophile storage device until they build one based on magnetic core memory. They aren't fooling anybody with something that uses exactly the same memory chips as ordinary, revolting sounding SSDs. I mean, we all struggle with the pain of those corrupted bits. I won't be satisfied until storage for a single FLAC file takes up a small warehouse. Edited July 31, 2021 by Old Man Rubber
