For sale is a beautiful pair of black Monitor Audio RX6 floor standing speakers in excellent condition as new. Comes with the original package, spikes, magnetic grill and user manual.

Sometimes manufacturers get the recipe just right and don't replicate the magic in their newer models. In my opinion these speakers sound better than the current models. In the RX6, Monitor Audio upgraded the tweeter from the popular RS6 and used the bass drivers from the high end Gold series. The RX6 rarely come up for sale because owners just don't let them go. They offer outstanding value for money and are one of speakers listed on What HiFi's hall of fame (https://www.whathifi.com/au/features/13-of-the-best-monitor-audio-products-of-all-time)

Life's too short for bad sound. If you're sick of shopping around for the perfect speakers, give these a try.  You don't need to spend car prices to get good sound. You deserve to be engulfed in musical bliss after a long stressful day. Remind yourself how wonderful it is to just relax and forget all your worries.  I have the original boxes, however due to current COVID situation prefer local pick-up.

I really liked my RX6s - another one of the regretful partings...

Sounded really "nice" and were easy to drive with quite modest amplifiers - but equally took everything my Redgum RGi 120 could throw at them!

Good safe bet for anyone looking for lovely set of speakers.

GLWTS!

Yes Ajesh, i agree that they are very good speakers for the money.

I have a pair in Cherry wood and they are a nice piece of furniture as well.

Different sounds with different amps and not hard to drive at all.

I have many pairs of speakers but i think these would be the last pair i would part with so i am curious about your pending upgrade, could you enlighten me please.

It is still a confusing decision for me to let it go as it one of the superb speakers which I listened. I am using Dali IKON 7 though it is actually not an upgrade I am planing to keep it due to couple of reasons. Firstly Dali's colour is matching with other furniture, secondly it's mid-range is blending nicely with my CA CXA60 amplifier. Since I don't have any plan to upgrade the CXA and not much place to retain both speakers, I considered to sell these beauties.

Just curious to know the amp which you are using to drive. Thanks.

Ajesh, firstly i am a great fan of dali speakers in general and find them to be a very pleasant sound,i don't rate speakers as better or worse only different.

Recently i was very close to buying a pair of Oberons with the ribbon tweeters but alas another $1000 plus i could not justify because of my hi fi gluttony.

Currently 13 pairs of speakers and 2 home theatre set ups.

I am 70 years old.

Back to your Question

The MA"s are very efficient and all my amps Marantz 2240,sony 110watt,Harman Karden 100watt,Onkyo 80Watt drive them very well but the best and by some way is the Unison Simply Italy valve amp.

I would encourage you to try and audition a valve amp with your set up if possible.

There is a member who has made comment here and his name is Rantan and though i have not spoken with him i find that he has a wealth of knowledge.

I dont know his age but i do know that once these members are gone the knowledge goes with them as in all circles of life.

Keep the Passion Ajesh.

Ps once all this covid thing is over i would gladly lend you my valve amp to try.

Regards Barry

Thanks Barry for your comments, I appreciate your passion towards sound. Once we started that passion, it is never ending. Though I have tried multiple amplifiers, I never got a chance to listen to a valve amplifier. I will keep a valve amplifier in my wish-list. It is my pleasure to listen to a valve amplifier and I will contact you once this Covid restrictions are gone. I am in my mid 30s and in learning phase through exploring.

I got a buyer for these RX6s and those are ready for shipment now. I too love the sweetness of Dali Ribbon tweeters, and I will be retaining it until I find a worthy speaker to upgrade, may be Focal or Martin Logan with a good amp, perhaps a valve one.

Thanks,

Ajesh John
