Dropbear67 Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I have pretty much decided on the LS50 metas for my 2.1 setup in the living room (big big upgrade from my old Sonos Play 5 stereo pair).. Looking for an integrated amp/streamer and not wanting to pony up five large on the uniti atom. Does anyone have any experience with either the current model Powernode or the older Powernode 2i matched up with the LS50s to know whether they have enough oomph to power them properly?
Guest thathifiguy Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I've heard the Powernode 2 with the original LS50s and I thought that for a relatively cost effective combination, the sound was pretty astounding.
Dropbear67 Posted July 21, 2021 Author Posted July 21, 2021 Thanks hifiguy.. I hear that the LS50's appreciate some power in the amp, so the new powernode having some extra grunt should only help the combination... the package coming in around $4K is appealing to me ...
pcking Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 (edited) I did have my Powernode 2i temporary connected to a pair of B&W CM 9 floorstanders and it drove them fine. So I don’t see why it should be a problem for your KEF’s. Bluesound just upped the output to 80w with their new model also. Cheers Paul. Edited July 21, 2021 by pcking
