sloper Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Goodaye all Starting the process on repainting the 57 Chev after 26 years as a daily carting the children around. Its the one in my avatar. l just cant make up my mind if to change it or go the same. Will stay 2 tone and no black. Guest niterida Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 I would say leave it as is. But if you do change it then go wild and do something out of the ordinary. Lime Green and Yellow (Or Green and Gold to be more patriotic) I know you said no Black but how about Orange and Yellow with Black window surrounds - be even more patriotic (IMO) with Aboriginal colours. It'll look awesome no matter what you do
sloper Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 Maybe a little darker torquise? It is currently Reniualt 411 regards Bruce

I really like the turquoise and white for that classic 50's look and a slightly darker shade will really do the trick. I also think that an antique cream shade ( in lieu of plain white ) would look great on the roof.
agelessgoodguy Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 As a teenager in "57 I was very impressed when a neighbor and his brother brought two new ones back from duties in the USA, one was Olive green and lime green the other was similar to your expressions above ie cream and a bright turquoise blue, but nowadays you'd swap that blue for Estoril blue and cream, just like my M140I BMW blue outside cream leather inside very nice. Just sayin, but good luck and enjoy your choice.
