Further information:

This is the Pro-Ject Dock Box S, its an docking station that strips the data and runs it through the inbuilt DAC on the Pro-Ject unit which you can hook directly to your amp OR you can use a SPDIF from the Pro-ject to your preferred DAC..  Pretty unique in that its one of the very few docks that allows you to use its or your own DAC with an Apple product

It runs the 30pin connector as standard but I see no reason why you could easily run an older gen iPhone into this and use it as a streamer OR pretty sure if you add an adapter for a newer Apple product - though I have not tried this.

Its built like a little tank and has a remote control. The back support for the iPod or whatever etc you connect is felt lined, Pro-Ject took some care to ensure it was well built and sounds great too.  The item came with UK plug so I used a UK to AUST adapter -

I bought this in November 2018 (still have receipts) and in June 2019 changed to a streamer, this has been in storage since, it works flawlessly. I kept it as I thought I'd use it the garage or somewhere but it hasnt happened that way and is too good to sit in a box.  The iPod was used in a vehicle but is in mint condition also and works without issue.

Some Quick Information On The Dock Box S

On the rear is the power input, S-Video output, analogue outputs and a digital coaxial output that allows the Dock Box S Digital to function as a transport feeding an external DAC.  A credit card-sized remote is included, along with a compact wall-wart power supply, which is much friendlier than the oversize PSU’s that have shipped with Pro-Ject products since time immemorial.

Internally, the Dock Box S Digital runs a Cirrus Logic 24bit/192kHz DAC and XMOS audio processors.

Some Quick Information on the 7th Gen iPod

The 160gb iPod is the 7th Gen version and runs the Cirrus Audio DAC chip. It runs the coverflow option and has artwork when playing.  Will include Apple charging cable also but dock also charges the componant attached to it.  Case was used when iPod was in vehicle, you wouldn't use this when being used in the dock however it'll be included in sale.  I do not have original box or headphones for the iPod.

All photos should show condition of items clearly as well as packaging.
