Hi,

I have a Paradigm Sub 12 which has been damaged and there is now a hole in the outer foam. Initial feedback from two shops is that is cannot be repaired as it has a very specific foam surround (?).

I'm waiting to hear back on whether a replacement driver is available and the cost involved. The model has been discontinued for a while so I have no idea whether there would be one floating around, and if it has been sitting in storage for years it might have already degraded.

What other options have I got for a replacement driver of any other brand?

Can someone please point me in the direction of where I would buy a replacement driver and any suggestions of models or brands?

Is something like this suitable?

The "Santoprene"  corrugated surround can be replaced  with a polyethylene  foam  type or possibly a rubber  one.    A substitute speaker  that matches the parameters of the original  would be difficult to find and the frame would also  have to  be a  physical match  to avoid cabinet alterations.  Find a speaker repairer.

Thanks for the replies.

A repair would be preferable but so far I'm not having any luck.

If anyone knows anyone in Sydney who I should be contacting, please let me know.
